Revenge solves everything in this steampunk fantasy video game from Arkane Studios. In "Dishonored," you play as a supernatural renegade who gets caught in a twisted political plot. Dark powers are at your disposal as you sneak, trap, or throttle your foes in the shadows. Restore the rightful empress of Dunwall and clear Corvo's name in one of the most original action games to hit the Xbox 360. This is a stealth action game from Bethesda Softworks. It was released for gameplay in 2012 and quickly has become a favorite. The narrative is set in the fictional city of Dunwall and follows the story of Corvo Attano, a former imperial bodyguard turned assassin. His allies include political insurgents, mad old women in the slums, and a mysterious, supernatural force known only as the Outsider. This single-player game places the player in a first-person perspective. To accomplish assassination missions and other goals in the game, you'll use stealth, combat skills, or a combination of both. Several gadgets and other accessories are also at your disposal in the game. The weapons you can use to incapacitate or kill your enemies include a sword, a gun, or your own supernatural powers. "Dishonored" has several elements that make it an excellent role-playing game. You can upgrade Corvo's powers over the course of the game. Furthermore, each moral choice you make has consequences for the plot. Corvo's powers are controlled by a blue mana bar, which can be restored through the use of potions. His health bar is red and can be restored through the use of potions or through eating food. He can wield a total of six active abilities and four passive attributes that augment these powers accordingly. You can also equip bone charms as accessories to grant you various supernatural perks. "Dishonored" is a pioneering example among video games with built-in morality systems. The unique chaos system developed for this video game means that this original Xbox 360 title deserves multiple playthroughs to see how things may change based on your decisions. It's even possible to complete the game without actually killing anybody. Total-pacifist or high-chaos runs involve either knocking out enemies, including bosses, or directly killing them. Depending on how you play, characters may respond differently to your morality. Some may help you while others might betray you. You'll enjoy hours of gameplay and alternate game paths depending on your choices. "Dishonored" has a rich, vibrant style based on 19th century London and Edinburgh. The graphics are visually stunning on the Xbox 360, making great use of the console's capabilities. It also has several pieces of DLC to purchase, which expand Corvo's adventures in Dunwall or introduce side characters. Daniel Licht, the composer for the TV series "Dexter," composed the original soundtrack. Several famous Hollywood actors also lent their talents to the voice cast, including Michael Madsen, Susan Sarandon, and Grace Chloe Moretz. This game has a Mature rating for violence, blood, gore, and strong language, so it's recommended for players ages 17 and older.     just finished playing this game........

    was very surprised in a good way, this game is pretty entertaining and I thought it was better than Thief. graphics are decent, of course they don't come close to Oblivion or Skyrim. Wishing it had a flashlight effect, open world, maps suck, and rat view in vents is frustrating. But overall this game rocks. Just when I thought it was over, it gave another mission so I was happy about that. The ending was abrupt, could have been a little more compelling and thought out. Overall, I give this game an A.

    Looking for a first person stealth game?

    If you liked Thief Gold and Thief II, the best of the unusually rare FIRST PERSON stealth genre, this is a very good choice. You can fight your way through the nine missions, but it is counterproductive, and the skills to be successful in stealth mode are easily learned. I never read the instructions because I think good design includes instinctive in-game rules. The drawback of the game is it is only nine missions, as although most are long and imersive it is still a bit short over all.

    Dishonored is original content with original storyline and is SUPERB!!!!

    Dishonored, a tale of a misunderstood man, is a riveting original game with original content. This newness is refreshing among the current system of make a game and copy it. Dishonored includes many facets of gaming that makes stealth/assassin type games fun and enjoyable. There is also a magic type aspect to the game, which adds a whole new venue to what can take place in the masterpiece by Bethesda. This tale revolves around a high up man named Corvo who is drawn up in a plot by members of a queens' cabinet. This game is great if you are a fan of action/adventure as well as steath games. The graphics are not the most realistic, but that is the point as there is magic in the air guiding what Corvo must do to complete his tasks.     Good game for a non-gamer or an established gamer

    Game play is straightforward, and easily understood. At higher levels of play, it would be difficult for any novice. The only "con" is the very small font used to give information. With the print against various backgrounds and such small size, it is sometimes necessary to come right up to the screen to read it.
